Once again, Ravi Shastri, who became the head coach of the Indian cricket team, has increased his salary by 20 percent, after which he has now surpassed the captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli. Shastri was again made the head coach of Team India by the Kapil Dev-led Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) last month. During this, he defeated former New Zealand coach Mike Hewson and Australia's Tom Moody. His tenure will last until the T20 World Cup in 2021.
According to a report, Shastri's CTC (Cost to Company) has increased by 20%, so now he will get 9.5 to 10 crores annually. Earlier Shastri used to get Rs 8 crore annually. On the other hand, if you talk about Kohli's salary, his annual salary under the central contract of BCCI is 7 crores. Apart from captain Kohli, opener Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah also get 7 crores as salary annually.
Apart from Shastri, his support staff including bowling coach Bharat Arun, fielding coach R Sridhar and new batting coach Vikram Rathore salary has also increased. Bharat Arun and R Sridhar will get 3.5 crores while Rathore will get 2.5 to 3 crores annually.
