Former Indian fast bowler Irfan Pathan believes that Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyadh reflects the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Bangladesh, under Mahmudullah, defeated India in the first match of the three-match T20 International series. This was Bangladesh's first win over India in T20.
Pathan said during an event, "When you win a match against one of the best teams in the world, your confidence increases. Mahmudullah showed a glimpse of the great captain in the kind of decisions he took during the match. He said, 'Mahendra Singh Dhoni has a glimpse under his captaincy as he tried the improvised bowlers of Powerplay. Dhoni has also been adopting such tactics as captain. Bangladesh, however, could not maintain the winning momentum and the team succumbed easily in the second ODI played at Rajkot.
The third and decisive match of the series will be played in Nagpur on Sunday. Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said Bangladesh's success in the third match would largely depend on the performance of wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. Harbhajan said, "Mushfiqur Rahim is a player who has a lot of experience. He is comfortable against spin and fast bowling. He will have to bear the most responsibility for Bangladesh. He has more experience than Mahmudullah.
