Prithvi Shaw can succeed in the test by adopting the technique of this Kiwi player: Laxman

Young Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw was named in the Test series against New Zealand in place of opener Rohit Sharma. However, he could not show anything special and he scored 16 and 14 runs in the first Test. After watching Sha's batting in the first Test, VVS Laxman said that he should learn from New Zealand captain Kane Williamson.

On the failure of Sha's innings in Wellington, former cricketer Laxman said, "The young batsman should learn from Williamson." The New Zealand captain scored his first innings of 89 runs in the first Test. Laxman told an Indian newspaper that Williamson's match defining innings set an example of how to play in such a situation.

Laksh points to Sha, saying that he likes to play on-side. However, when the ball is spinning, it is better to play the ball directly. He advised Shay that he should play near his body the way the New Zealand captain did in Wellington. Along with this, he has also advised Sha to learn from opener Mayank Agarwal. Mayank has shown maturity under different conditions in New Zealand, he wrote.

It may be noted that India did not perform well in the first Test against New Zealand due to which they lost by 10 wickets. This was India's first defeat after December 2018. Now the second and final match of this series will begin on February 29 in which India is expected to return.
